music: improvisations and patch recipes
improvisations (kind of)
*been using a microkorg and a ditto looper for the most part (recently added a boss rc-2 loop station)
*some of these are part of short videos that i make
*if you’re lucky, you can hear me clicking the ditto looper *\(^o^)/*
microkorg patches
*i prefer to edit my patches on the microkorg itself, but i like how the microkorg sound editor displays the patch information
>>> zoning out the cupola
*i like using the mod and pitch wheel
*both the mono and poly voices on this are fun to play with (you can turn the attack down when using mono)
>>> detuned electric organ
*the mod wheel detunes
*feel free to add some delay for additional effects
>>> bumpy sci-fi
>>> bright theramin
*i like messing with the cutoff and mod wheel while playing (raising the cutoff gives it a nice crispy sound)
*while playing (especially chords), i’ll whip the pitch wheel all the way up then down
*i changed the sustain to 100 (up from 89) since i made this
>>> ice palace swimming pool
*i use this to play chords using the arpeggiator
*the velocity adds a little noise
>>> slow motion kiss
>>> low cutoff organ
>>> delay guitar
*i enjoy using the mod wheel, pitch wheel, and arpeggiator
*the cutoff is tied to the velocity (how quickly/hard the keys are pressed)
*if you play around with the delay time (while actively playing), you can get some cool electronic sounding effects (these can be heard toward the end of the sample)
>>> screaming feedback elevator bubbles
