Great Trees Best Friends
a collaboration with Tucker Eason

The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation has an official list of Great Trees, and Tucker and I are best friends. Tucker lives in New York, and I visit him a few times each year. Every time I visit, we’ll visit one of the Great Trees, document it, and add to this ongoing book.

Cheese Slice Bookmark

A bookmark that looks like a slice of cheese. It’s always ok to take a break for a little cheese.

Fireflies

A hidden book style accordion book. It unfolds into a double sided poster. All of the circles were punched out using a screw punch. Each circle has three layers, the top blue layer, the outer ring (either orange or green), and the inner circle (either yellow or neon yellow). It comes in two color combinations, a green one, and an orange/yellow one. I used a corner rounder for all of the corners. The text on the back of the poster says

NYC Pocket Guide
A pocket-sized personal travel guide made of paper clippings from previous projects. The binding is adjustable, so that I can remove and insert pages in the future. The first half is the guide, while the second half is intentionally left blank for notes.

Eight letters, four each, that QeeQee Gao and I wrote each other from August 25, 2022 to May 29, 2023 on the subject of dying. Comes packaged in a semi-clear vellum brochure envelope.
